With the new league year underway, several trades have been finalized this month, including the deal the Seattle Seahawks made with Philadelphia that sent Michael Bennett to the Eagles. As a result, the draft order the league announced earlier in March is already out of date, so the NFL.com now has an updated draft order that reflects recent trades, including a big move over the weekend that saw the New York Jets move up to the No. 3 overall pick in a trade with Indianapolis.
From a Seahawks standpoint, the only difference from what was announced earlier this month is that as a result of the Bennett trade, Seattle now holds another fifth-round pick and one fewer seventh-rounder. The fifth-round pick the Seahawks got from the Eagles, No. 156 overall, was actually originally the Seahawks' pick, but they traded it to Philadelphia last year as part of the trade for offensive lineman Matt Tobin. The Seahawks, who also got receiver Marcus Johnson in the trade, sent a seventh-rounder back to the Eagles in that deal, pick No. 250 overall.
Plenty could change between now and late April, but as of now, here are Seattle's eight picks in the 2018 NFL Draft:
- Round 1: No. 18 overall
- Round 4: No. 120 overall
- Round 5: No. 141, 146, 156, 168 overall
- Round 7: No. 226, 248 overall
