NFL free agency officially opened at 1 p.m. PT on Wednesday, March 14 (an initial list of the League's 525 free agents can be found right here), and we'll use this space to track all the Seahawks-related roster movement as the NFL's free-agent frenzy continues throughout the next several weeks.

May 30

Marshall Signs With Seahawks: Six-time Pro Bowl wideout Brandon Marshall signed with Seattle on Wednesday. To make room on the roster, fullback Marcus Martin was released.

May 6

Avril Released: Veteran defensive end Cliff Avril, who began his Seahawks career in 2013 and helped bring a Super Bowl championship to Seattle, was released Friday with a failed physical designation. Avril sustained a neck injury in 2017 that ended his season after four games. In a post on Instagram, Avril thanked 12s for his time in the Pacific Northwest.

May 1

Maxwell Re-Signs With Seattle: The Seahawks re-signed cornerback Byron Maxwell, a 2011 sixth-round pick by Seattle who re-joined the team late last season after stays with the Philadelphia Eagles and Miami Dolphins. After Richard Sherman went down with an Achilles injury last season, Maxwell, who spent his first four NFL seasons with the Seahawks, took over the No. 1 job at left cornerback, starting the final six games and recording 38 tackles, seven passes defensed, one interception and a forced fumble through seven games played.

April 17

Smith Signs With Falcons: Defensive tackle Garrison Smith, who spent time on the Seahawks' practice squad and active roster last season, signed with the Atlanta Falcons on Tuesday. Smith played in eight games for Seattle in 2017, recording a career-high nine tackles.

April 16

Seahawks Re-Sign Davis, Dawson: Austin Davis, the backup to starting quarterback Russell Wilson last season, re-signed with the Seahawks on Monday. Linebacker Paul Dawson, who was promoted off Seattle's practice squad late last season, was also re-signed. Additionally, three players, including center Joey Hunt, defensive end Branden Jackson, and long snapper Tyler Ott, signed their exclusive rights free agent tenders.

April 13

Seahawks Add Former Pro Bowl Kicker, QB Depth; Two Players Sign ERFA Tenders: The Seahawks signed former Oakland Raiders Pro Bowl kicker Sebastian Janikowski on Friday. The Seahawks also signed Stephen Morris to add depth at quarterback behind starter Russell Wilson. Additionally, running back J.D. McKissic and defensive end Quinton Jefferson signed their exclusive rights free agent tenders.

April 12

Jordan Signs Tender With Seahawks: Defensive end Dion Jordan signed his restricted free agent tender with the Seahawks on Thursday, making official his return to Seattle for the 2018 season. Jordan, a former first-round draft pick, finished 2017 in Seattle with a career-high 4.0 sacks through five games played late in the season.

April 11

Johnson Joins Seattle: The Seahawks added depth at cornerback on Wednesday, signing former San Francisco 49ers starter Dontae Johnson. A fourth-round pick out of NC State in 2014, the 6-foot-2, 200-pound Johnson has shown the versatility to play both as an outside corner as well as inside as a nickel back.

Garvin Goes To Miami: Linebacker Terence Garvin, who had 25 tackles, 1.0 sack, a pass defensed, and a forced fumble through 15 games played in Seattle last season, signed a free-agent deal with the Miami Dolphins on Wednesday.

March 30

Rawls Signs With New York: Running back Thomas Rawls, who spent his first three NFL seasons in Seattle with the Seahawks, signed a free-agent deal with the New York Jets on Friday. Rawls, who joined the Seahawks as an undrafted rookie out of Central Michigan, rushed for 830 yards on 147 carries in 2015, good for a league-best 5.6 yard-per-carry average. The following season, he set a franchise postseason record by rushing for 161 yards on 27 carries in Seattle's wild card playoff win over Detroit.

March 28

Coleman Signs Tender With Seahawks: On Wednesday, cornerback Justin Coleman signed the restricted free agent tender that Seattle extended earlier this month. Coleman, who the Seahawks acquired from New England for a seventh-round pick just before the start of the 2017 regular season, was a breakout player for Seattle last year. He took over the nickel corner spot and recorded the first two interceptions of his career, both of which he returned for touchdowns. He finished the season with 35 tackles and nine passes defensed, also showing a knack for rushing the passer on corner blitzes, recording 1.5 sacks and three quarterback hits. Coleman was also one of Seattle's top special teams players, recording seven tackles, tied for second most on the team.

March 24

Stephen Signs With Seahawks: Another former Vikings defensive lineman was added to the mix on Saturday, when Seattle signed tackle Shamar Stephen. A seventh-round pick out of the University of Connecticut, the 6-foot-5, 310-pound Stephen, 27, spent his first four NFL seasons in Minnesota, where he was active for 52 games and started 20, including all 16 regular-season contests during the 2016 season.

March 23

Seahawks Re-Sign Smith: Seattle brought back defensive end Marcus Smith, a former first-round pick who played for the Seahawks last season after three years in Philadelphia. Smith, 25, had 15 tackles and 2.5 sacks last season, as well as two forced fumbles, one of which was a sack-fumble that was returned for a touchdown by Bobby Wagner.

Seahawks Add Johnson: The Seahawks bolstered their interior line depth, signing veteran defensive tackle Tom Johnson. Johnson, 33, started 15 games last season for the Vikings, who led the league in total defense and scoring defense. Johnson, who played in NFL Europe, the CFL and the Arena Football League before establishing himself in the NFL, has 163 tackles and 21 sacks in his NFL career, including 2.0 sacks and 32 tackles last year.

March 22

Davis Re-Signs: The Seahawks re-signed Mike Davis on Thursday, a move that returns Seattle's most productive running back from last season. Through six games played in 2017, Davis racked up 240 yards on 68 carries and also accounted for the Seahawks' longest rush of the season when he recorded a 33-yard run in Seattle's final game of the year.

March 21

Seahawks Add Fluker: Seattle bolstered its offensive line by signing D.J. Fluker, a former first-round pick out of Alabama. Fluker, the 11th pick of the 2013 draft, has started 65 games in his career, initially playing right tackle before moving to right guard. After four seasons with the Chargers, Fluker spent last season with the New York Giants, where he played under Mike Solari, who the Seahawks named their offensive line coach this offseason.

Willson Signs With Lions: Luke Willson, a tight end who the Seahawks took in the fifth round of the 2013 NFL Draft, signed a free-agent deal with the Detroit Lions on Wednesday. Willson spent his first five NFL seasons in Seattle, where he appeared in 72 games, catching 89 passes for 1,129 yards and 11 touchdowns.

March 17

Seattle Signs Alexander: The Seahawks added depth at safety Saturday, signing free agent Maurice Alexander, a former starter for the St. Louis and Los Angeles Rams. Alexander was the Rams' starting strong safety in 2016, recording 50 tackles, two interceptions and four passes defensed in 14 games. He opened last season as a starter, but after starting the first four games of the season, he was inactive for Los Angeles' Week 5 loss to Seattle, then was waived the following week.

Seahawks Add Brown: The Seahawks signed former Arizona Cardinals receiver Jaron Brown Saturday, a speedy target who averaged 15.4 yards per catch last season. Brown caught 31 passes for 477 yards and four touchdowns last season, all career highs, while starting eight of 16 games.

Tobin Signs With Patriots: Offensive lineman Matt Tobin, who the Seahawks acquired in a trade before the start of last season, signed a free-agent deal with the New England Patriots. Tobin was active for 15 of Seattle's games last year.

March 16

Mingo Signs With Seahawks: The Seahawks potentially added help at two positions, signing former 2013 first-round pick Barkevious Mingo. Mingo is listed as a linebacker, but has also played defensive end during his career. His size and athletic profile, as well as that positional versatility, suggests he could be used both as a strongside linebacker as well as a situational pass-rusher.

Dickson Signed By Seattle: The Seahawks added veteran depth at tight end, signing former Baltimore Raven and Carolina Panther Ed Dickson. Dickson, who has not missed a game since the 2012 season, gives the Seahawks depth at a position where last year's starter Jimmy Graham has departed in free agency, and Luke Willson remains a free agent. Dickson is coming off of one of his more productive seasons as a pass-catcher in 2017, gaining 437 yards on 30 catches while averaging a career-best 14.6 yards per catch. He is also known as a good blocking tight end, and was ranked as the top pass-blocking tight end in the NFL last year by Pro Football Focus.

King Re-Signs With Seattle: The Seahawks also re-signed cornerback Akeem King, who spent part of last season on their practice squad. King, a seventh-round pick out of San Jose State in 2015, appeared in five games with the Atlanta Falcons as a rookie. He spent 2016 on injured reserve with the Falcons, then was waived prior to the start of the 2017 season before being signed to Seattle's practice squad last September.

Graham Goes To Green Bay: After three seasons in Seattle, Jimmy Graham is heading to the Packers. Graham, who was acquired in a 2015 trade, leaves the Seahawks as the franchise leader in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns by a tight end.

Richardson Lands In Minnesota: Defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson, who the Seahawks acquired in a trade with the New York Jets before the start of last season, signed a free-agent deal with the Minnesota Vikings. With Seattle, Richardson appeared in 15 games, recording 44 tackles, one sack, one interception and one forced fumble.

March 15

Richardson Inks Deal With Washington: Wideout Paul Richardson signed a free-agent deal with the Washington Redskins Thursday, leaving Seattle after four seasons with the Seahawks. Richardson, a second-round pick in 2014 out of Colorado, caught 95 passes for 1,302 yards and eight touchdowns with the Seahawks.

March 14

Shead Signs With Lions: Defensive back DeShawn Shead, who the Seahawks released Monday, signed with the Detroit Lions Wednesday. Seattle parted ways with Shead this week because the team and Shead both went into the 2018 offseason expecting him to be a free agent after he played 2017 on a one-year deal. But because Shead was on the physically unable to perform list for most of the season, the NFL ruled that his contract tolled, meaning the Seahawks could have kept him under the terms of the deal he signed last offseason coming off of a serious knee injury. Shead originally signed with the Seahawks in 2012 as an undrafted free agent out of Portland State.
